Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge
Rowing for First Responder Mental Health and Suicide Prevention
In December 2022, Team Guardian embarked on an epic journey, taking on the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge—a grueling 3,000-mile trans-Atlantic rowing race known as "The World's Toughest Row." This was not just a race; it was a monumental endeavor, fueled by years of meticulous planning, relentless training, and unwavering community support. Why face this unforgiving challenge? For a cause close to their hearts: to raise money and awareness in support of first responder mental health and suicide prevention.
After 51 days, 17 hours, and 18 minutes battling the Atlantic, the team successfully landed in Antigua in the Caribbean—a powerful conclusion to a four-year journey of preparation and dedication. While this challenge was the biggest they have ever faced, it’s nothing compared to the challenge many of our local heroes face every day!
